PRIVACY POLICY FOR THE PHILOSOPHER’S LIBRARY

Effective Date: July 16, 2026
Last Updated: July 16, 2026

Peak Software 93 (“we,” “our,” or “us”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use The Philosopher’s Library mobile application and its associated product webpage.

The Philosopher’s Library is designed to operate without user accounts, advertising, social networking, or developer-operated cloud storage.

  1. INFORMATION WE DO NOT COLLECT

Peak Software 93 does not collect personal information through The Philosopher’s Library.

The application does not require you to create an account or provide your name, email address, telephone number, location, or other identifying information.

The application does not include:

  • Advertising trackers
  • Third-party analytics services
  • User profiles
  • Social-media feeds
  • Public posting
  • Person-to-person messaging
  • Developer-operated cloud storage
  • Cross-app or cross-website tracking

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information.

  1. INFORMATION STORED ON YOUR DEVICE

The Philosopher’s Library stores certain information locally on your device so that its reading and study features can function.

This may include:

  • Bookmarks
  • Study notes
  • Reading position
  • Reader theme and typography preferences
  • Audio-reading position
  • Preview-period information
  • Other application preferences

This information remains on your device and is not transmitted to Peak Software 93.

You can delete individual bookmarks and study notes from within the application. Removing The Philosopher’s Library from your device will generally remove locally stored application data, subject to the behavior of Apple’s operating system, device backups, and App Store purchase records.

  1. APPLE INTELLIGENCE

The Philosopher’s Library uses Apple’s Foundation Models framework to provide passage-based study guidance on compatible devices.

When you request an explanation, the selected philosophical passage, its source information, and your question are processed using Apple Intelligence through Apple’s system framework.

The app does not send these passages, questions, or generated responses to a server operated by Peak Software 93. Peak Software 93 does not receive, store, or review your questions or generated explanations.

Apple Intelligence availability depends on the device, operating system, language, region, and the user’s Apple Intelligence settings.

Apple’s handling of its technologies is governed by Apple’s own privacy policies and terms.

  1. PURCHASES AND STOREKIT

The Philosopher’s Library offers a one-time, non-consumable Lifetime Access purchase through Apple’s App Store and StoreKit.

Apple processes purchases, payment methods, refunds, transaction history, and Apple Account information. Peak Software 93 does not receive your complete payment-card details or Apple Account password.

The application receives limited purchase information from StoreKit, such as whether a Lifetime Access transaction has been verified and whether the user is entitled to the purchased content. This information is used only to unlock the application’s paid features.

Apple may provide Peak Software 93 with aggregated sales, financial, and transaction reports through App Store Connect.

For information about Apple’s handling of App Store purchase information, visit:

  1. 24-HOUR PREVIEW

The Philosopher’s Library provides a 24-hour full-access preview.

During production use, the application may use Apple’s verified original app-acquisition date to determine when the preview begins and ends. This helps prevent the preview from restarting when the application is removed and reinstalled.

This date is processed by the application for access-control purposes. Peak Software 93 does not receive or store the date on a developer-operated server.

  1. BOOKMARKS AND STUDY NOTES

Bookmarks and study notes are private and stored locally on your device.

They are not visible to other users and are not uploaded to Peak Software 93.

If you choose to share a note, passage, or complete study notebook through Apple’s system share sheet, the information is sent only to the application, service, or person you select. Information shared in this manner is then governed by the privacy practices of the selected recipient or service.

Peak Software 93 does not control how third-party applications or services handle information that you deliberately share with them.

  1. AUDIO READING

The Philosopher’s Library uses Apple’s system speech-synthesis technology to provide audio narration.

The application does not record your voice, microphone input, or listening activity. Peak Software 93 does not receive information about the passages you choose to hear.

  1. WEBSITE INFORMATION

The Philosopher’s Library product webpage is hosted through a website service and content-management platform.

The website’s hosting provider may automatically process limited technical information required to deliver and protect the website. This may include:

  • Internet Protocol address
  • Browser and device type
  • Requested pages
  • Date and time of access
  • Basic server and security logs

This technical information may be processed by the hosting provider for website operation, reliability, security, fraud prevention, and troubleshooting.

Peak Software 93 does not use the product webpage to build advertising profiles or track visitors across unrelated websites.

If you contact Peak Software 93 through an email address or contact form, we will receive the information you voluntarily provide. That information will be used only to respond to your inquiry, provide support, or address your request.

  1. THIRD-PARTY LINKS

The application or website may contain links to Apple, public-domain source material, museums, libraries, or other third-party websites.

Peak Software 93 is not responsible for the privacy practices, security, availability, or content of third-party websites and services. You should review the privacy policy of any third party you choose to visit.

  1. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY

The Philosopher’s Library is an educational application intended for general audiences and philosophy students. It is not specifically directed toward young children.

Peak Software 93 does not knowingly collect personal information from children through the application.

Because the library contains complete historical philosophical texts that may discuss war, death, alcohol, sexuality, political conflict, slavery, religion, and other mature historical subjects, parents and guardians should determine whether the application is appropriate for younger users.

  1. DATA RETENTION

Peak Software 93 does not retain application notes, bookmarks, reading history, questions, or generated explanations because this information is not collected by us.

Information voluntarily provided through a support inquiry may be retained only as long as reasonably necessary to respond, maintain support records, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, or satisfy legal obligations.

Apple retains App Store purchase and transaction information according to Apple’s own policies and legal obligations.

Website hosting providers may retain technical server logs according to their security and retention practices.

  1. DATA SECURITY

The Philosopher’s Library minimizes privacy risk by keeping reading and study information on the user’s device and avoiding unnecessary collection.

No method of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Users are responsible for maintaining the security of their devices, device passcodes, Apple Accounts, backups, and any destinations to which they choose to share information.

  1. INTERNATIONAL USERS

The Philosopher’s Library may be available in multiple countries and regions.

Where applicable privacy law provides rights concerning personal information, you may contact Peak Software 93 regarding those rights. Because Peak Software 93 does not collect personal information through the application, we may have no application data associated with you.

Information processed independently by Apple, a website host, or another third-party service must be addressed directly with that provider.

  1. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy when the application, website, legal requirements, or privacy practices change.

The revised policy will be posted at:

https://www.peaksoftware93.ca/philosophers-library/privacy-policy

The “Last Updated” date at the top of this policy will indicate when the latest revision took effect.

Material changes will apply prospectively unless otherwise required by law.
