Humidor Companion – Support

Welcome to Humidor Companion v3 — your modern cigar journal and humidor management system.

This guide will help you set up your humidors, catalog your cigars, track smoke sessions, and use the powerful new sharing features.

Humidor Companion is designed for cigar enthusiasts who appreciate organization, tradition, and the art of the smoke.


1. Getting Started

When you first open the app:

  1. Create your first Humidor
  2. Add cigars to that humidor
  3. Begin tracking your collection and smoke sessions

Version 3 includes:

• Multiple humidor support

• Full iPad support

• Wrapper type tracking

• Journal photo support

• Shareable smoke sessions and journal exports


2. Creating a Humidor

From the main screen:

Tap Add Humidor

Enter:

Name

Location (optional)

Notes (optional)

Photo (optional)

Tap Save

You can create multiple humidors such as:

• Home Humidor

• Travel Case

• Aging Vault

• Desktop Humidor

Each humidor is tracked independently.


3. Adding a Cigar

Open a humidor and tap Add Cigar.

Fill in the cigar details:

Name

Brand

Country of Origin

Vitola

Wrapper Type

Ring Gauge

Length (mm)

Quantity

Notes (optional)

Photo (optional)

Tap Save to add it to your humidor.


4. Editing a Cigar

To edit a cigar:

  1. Open the cigar from the humidor list
  2. Tap Edit
  3. Modify any fields
  4. Tap Save

Humidor Companion uses the same interface for adding and editing cigars, making updates quick and intuitive.


5. Managing Quantity

When you smoke a cigar:

  1. Open the cigar entry
  2. Reduce the quantity
  3. Tap Save

If the quantity reaches zero you can:

• Keep the cigar for journal/history purposes

• Or delete it from your collection


6. Wrapper Type (Version 3)

Version 3 introduces a dedicated Wrapper Type field.

Examples include:

Connecticut

Habano

Maduro

Corojo

Oscuro

This allows better organization of your humidor and prepares the app for future statistical tracking.


7. Using Photos

Photos can be added to both:

Cigar entries

Smoke session journal entries

You can:

Take a photo using the camera

Select one from your photo library

Examples of photos you might add:

• A cigar you enjoyed

• A smoke session with friends

• A lounge or patio setting

• A memorable cigar moment

All photos are stored locally on your device.

Humidor Companion does not upload photos to any server.

Your memories stay private.


8. Smoke Sessions

You can record every cigar you smoke.

A smoke session may include:

Cigar name

Date

Location

Notes

Rating

Photo (optional)

This allows you to build a personal cigar journal over time.


9. Share Smoke Session (New Feature)

Humidor Companion now allows you to share individual smoke sessions.

To share a session:

  1. Open the Smoke Session
  2. Tap Share Session
  3. Choose how you want to share it

Your session will generate a clean formatted export that can include:

Cigar name

Date

Notes

Rating

Session photo

You can share it through:

• Messages

• Email

• AirDrop

• Notes

• Files

• Social apps

Perfect for sharing a memorable smoke with friends.


10. Share Journal (New Feature)

You can also export your entire cigar journal.

To share your journal:

  1. Open the Journal
  2. Tap Share Journal
  3. Choose a destination

Your journal export may include:

All smoke sessions

Notes and ratings

Session photos

This allows you to:

• Back up your cigar history

• Share your journal with fellow enthusiasts

• Save a permanent archive of your smoking journey


11. iPad Support

Version 3 fully supports iPad with:

Optimized layout

Improved navigation

Smooth humidor and cigar management

Humidor Companion feels at home on both iPhone and iPad.


12. Data & Privacy

Your data is stored locally on your device using Core Data.

Humidor Companion does not:

Upload your data

Track your activity

Collect personal information

Your cigar collection and journal remain completely private.


13. Backups

Your data is included in your normal iOS device backup.

For best protection:

Enable iCloud device backups

or

Perform regular encrypted backups through Finder/iTunes

This ensures your cigar journal is never lost.


14. Unlocking Premium Features

If you purchased the Premium Unlock:

  1. Open the Settings screen
  2. Tap Restore Purchases

Make sure you are logged into the same Apple ID used for the purchase.

If the unlock does not activate:

Tap Restore Purchases again

Restart the app


15. Troubleshooting

App not saving changes

Force close the app and reopen it.

If the issue persists, restart your device.

Purchase not restoring

Confirm:

Same Apple ID

Active internet connection

Then tap Restore Purchases again.

App crashing

Update to the latest iOS version and ensure you are running the newest version of Humidor Companion.

Universal Lottery Quick Picker

🎯 Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Open the App Launch Universal Lottery Quick Picker from your home screen.
  2. Choose a Game Type Tap one of the game tiles (e.g., Lotto Max, Powerball, EuroMillions, etc.)
  3. Set Game Rules (if needed) Adjust the sliders to match the official rules of your lotto:
    • Total number of balls
    • How many to draw
  4. Generate Your Picks Tap Generate Numbers — your randomized numbers will appear instantly.
  5. Save Your Picks (Optional) Use the save icon or “Add to Win Tracker” to store your picks for later. This will save the most recent generated line of lottery numbers.

🛠️ Troubleshooting Common Issues


❓ App Not Opening

  • Restart your device and try opening the app again.
  • Make sure you’re running the latest version of the app from the App Store.
  • If the issue persists, try deleting and reinstalling the app.

❓ Numbers Won’t Generate

  • Double-check that you’ve set valid number ranges using the sliders.
  • Ensure no required fields (like bonus ball count) are left blank.
  • Tap Reset and try again from the default settings.

❓ Saved Picks Aren’t Appearing

  • Be sure you tapped Save to Win Tracker after generating.
  • Go to the Win Tracker tab to view past saved picks.
  • If data isn’t showing, check if the app has storage permissions enabled in device settings.

❓ App Crashes or Freezes

  • Check for available system updates on your phone.
  • Clear the app cache if possible (Android), or restart your iPhone.
  • Still stuck? Submit a bug report with details.

🧾 Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Start a New Check Tap “New Check” from the main menu to begin tracking your meal.
  2. Add Dining Companions Tap “Add Companion” to enter the names of the people at your table. ✅ Tip: Your name is automatically included as “Self”.
  3. Assign Orders by Person For each companion:
    • Tap their name
    • Enter the items they ordered
    • Add the cost and optional notes (e.g., “no onions”)
  4. Split Shared Items Tap “Assign to multiple” if two or more people are sharing something like an appetizer. The app will automatically divide the cost evenly.
  5. Tip and Tax Enter your tip percentage and tax amount — the app will handle the rest.
  6. Review Totals Tap “View Totals” to see exactly what each person owes, including their share of tip and tax.

🧠 The Check Splitter makes complicated bills easy. Whether you’re treating someone or sharing costs, you’ll know who owes what, instantly.

📷 Save a Photo of the Bill

After finalizing a check:

  1. Tap “Add Receipt”
  2. Use your phone’s camera to take a clear photo of your dining bill
  3. Tap Save — the receipt is now attached to that check

📝 You can also choose a photo from your camera roll if you already snapped one earlier.


🗂️ View Past Receipts

  1. Go to the Check History tab
  2. Select a check from the list
  3. Tap the receipt icon to open and view the saved image

✅ Pro Tip: Receipts are saved locally on your device for privacy and quick access. No cloud upload required.




❓ Frequently Asked Questions


💬 Can I reuse companions for future meals?

Yes. Once you add someone to a check, they’re saved in your local app memory for fast access next time. Just tap their name when starting a new check.


💬 How does tipping work?

You can enter your tip percentage after entering the order totals. The app will:

  • Calculate the tip automatically
  • Split the tip fairly between diners based on what they ordered
  • Show each person’s total including their share of tip and tax

💬 Can I split a single item between multiple people?

Absolutely. When entering an item, tap “Assign to multiple” and select everyone sharing it. The cost is divided evenly between selected companions.


💬 Where are my checks stored?

All data — including companions, receipts, and totals — is stored securely on your device.

There’s no internet requirement or cloud storage unless you back it up separately.

Font Size Adjustment

  • Open the Settings section inside the app
  • Use the Font Size option to increase or decrease text size
  • Changes apply immediately, making reading more comfortable for your eyes

This is especially helpful for accessibility or longer reading sessions.


⭐ Favorites

  • You can save items to your Favorites for quick access later
  • Favorited content remains saved even after closing the app
  • To remove a favorite, simply tap it again in the Favorites section

🔒 Privacy

  • The app does not collect personal information
  • Any saved preferences (such as favorites or font size) are stored locally on your device
  • No account or sign-in is required

🛠 Troubleshooting

If you experience issues:

  • Fully close and reopen the app
  • Make sure you are using the latest version from the App Store
  • Restart your device if necessary

How to Use the App

Reading the Bible

From the main menu, choose either the Old Testament or New Testament, then select a book and chapter to begin reading.

Listening to Audio

Open a chapter and start audio playback to hear the text read aloud. The app can continue reading through chapters automatically.

How to Use Search

  1. Open the Search screen from the app
  2. Enter a keyword, phrase, or Bible reference (e.g., faith, love, John 3:16)
  3. Tap search to view results

The app will display a list of verses that match your search query.

Viewing Results

  • Tap any result to open the full chapter
  • The selected verse will be highlighted for easy reference
  • From there, you can read or start audio playback

Tips for Better Results

  • Use simple keywords (e.g., hope, peace, strength)
  • Try short phrases instead of full sentences
  • Searching by book and verse (e.g., Psalm 23) will take you directly to that passage

Notes

  • Search works across the entire King James Version
  • Results are based on exact text matches, so wording matters
  • Very common words (like the, and) may return many results

Resume Reading

The app remembers your last reading position so you can return and continue where you left off.

Settings

In the Settings screen, you can customize your reading experience. Depending on the version of the app, settings may include:

  • Adjusting font size
  • Changing audio reading speed
  • Turning verse number display on or off during reading
  • Setting a sleep timer

Troubleshooting

Audio is not playing

  • Make sure your device volume is turned up
  • Check that silent mode is not affecting playback
  • Close and reopen the app if needed

The app is not saving my place

  • Make sure the app is fully updated
  • Try reopening the app and starting a chapter again

Text looks too small

  • Open Settings and increase the font size

Getting Started

Toy Collector Companion helps you organize your collection using a simple structure: Series → Lines → Items.

Start by creating a series, then add lines inside that series, and finally add individual items.

Creating Collections

Tap the + button to create your first collection (series).

Each series can contain multiple lines, allowing you to group your collectibles in a way that makes sense to you.

Examples:

  • Series: Hot Wheels
  • Line: Camaro
  • Item: individual car

Adding Items

Navigate into a line and tap the + button to add a new item.

You can enter details such as:

  • Name
  • Type (figure, vehicle, doll, etc.)
  • Condition
  • Packaging state
  • Purchase price
  • Estimated value
  • Notes

Photos & Notes

Each item supports a main photo plus additional photos with captions.

You can use this to save:

  • Front view
  • Back view
  • Side view
  • Packaging details
  • Accessories or close-ups

Additional photos can be tapped to make them the main image for the item.

Favorites & Wishlist

Mark your favorite items using the star icon. This makes it easier to highlight your best or most important pieces.

The built-in wishlist helps you keep track of items you want to buy later.

Wishlist items can be moved into your main collection once acquired.

Tracking Value

Toy Collector Companion lets you track the value of your collection over time.

Each item can include:

  • Purchase price
  • Estimated value

The Statistics screen helps you review collection totals, item counts, and collection value.

Toy Collector Companion is free to download with generous limits.

Free version includes:

  • 1 series
  • Up to 2 lines
